DeZeeuw, Pleun Mr. born abt 1812 died 1899

Pluyn De Zeeuw died at the home of this son, Pluyn jr. near Middleburgh, at an early hour last Thursday morning. Deceased was a native of Holland, and came from Pella to Sioux County 28 years ago. His death was mainly caused by old age being 87 years and 6 months old at the time of his death.

The funeral was held at Middleburgh, conducted by Rev. Koster, and the remains were interred in the Orange City cemetery. He leaves five children to mourn his demise.

Note: A report on ancestry.com lists Pleun De Zeeuw born May 6, 1812- died Oct 19, 1899 Sioux Center IA, he married Elizabeth Lijsbet de Haan on April 2, 1836 in Barendrecht, Zuid Holland Neth. Elizabeth was born 1815 died 1893. He was the son of Arij De Zeeuw and Appoloina van Dijk.
