Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon, September 19, at 1:30 at the Presbyterian Church of Hospers for Mrs. Carson Stamey of Sibley who died Tuesday, September 15. Her death was accidental.

Darlene Ann Brink, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Fred Brink of Hospers, was born December 26, 1931 in Hospers. She lived and attended school at Hospers. On October 1, 1949 she was married to Carson Stamey. Following their marriage they made their homes in Waterloo, Boyden, and the last several years in Sibley. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church of Sibley. Survivors besides the widower, are her daughter, Jacqueline, 9 years old and her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Fred Brink of Hospers.

Reverend Walter Morz, pastor of the Presbyterian Church of Sibley, delivered the funeral message using Psalm 23:4 as his text. Reverend Henry Rikkers, pastor of the Presbyterian Church of Hospers, assisted Reverend Morz. Mrs. Donald Raak of Hospers sang “God Understands” and Mrs. Glenn Mitchell of Sibley sang “Saved by Grace.” Mrs. Joyce Van Zanten was the pianist and Mrs. Dick Hulst was the organist. Pallbearers were Robert Roos of Orange City, Dick Roos of Alton, Byron Roos of Hospers, Myron Brink of Sibley, Stanley Brink and Eldon Boone of Hospers.

Many relatives and friends from surrounding towns attended the services.
