Albert Sprik passed away at the local hospital on March 1, 1965, at the age of 70 years, 9 months and 5 days, after a lingering illness.

He was born in Prairie View, Kansas and at an early age moved with his parents to New Mexico, Bozeman, Montana and Denver, Colorado.

In 1915 he moved back to Prairie View, Kansas, where he joined the Christian Reformed Church and served in the consistory.

On April 26, 1916 he married Wieda Jansma. They farmed till 1944 when they moved to Ireton, Iowa, where he was engaged in the produce business. They moved in 1958 to Orange City.

Survivors include his wife, two sons, Henry of Platte, South Dakota, Stanley of Hospers, Iowa; five daughters, Mrs, Goldie Winchell and Mrs. Dick (Anne) Jansonius of Prairie View, Kansas, Mrs. Marion (Wilma) Jasper, Mrs. Bernard (Hazel) Nibbelink of Orange City and Mrs. C.D. (Alvina) Keunen of Tinley Park, Illinois; three step brothers, Harold Westerman of Sanborn, Iowa, Harry Westerman of Hayward, California, and Bert Westerman of Sioux Center; one half sister, Mrs, William Poppema of Sheldon, Iowa, and 28 grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three sisters and one brother.

Funeral services were held Thursday, March 4, at the First Christian Reformed Church with the Reverend B. Vanden Brink officiating.
