Jane Doornink Sulhoff, 89, of Council Bluffs passed away on May 21, in Council Bluffs at Bethany Lutheran Home.
A graveside service and burial will be held on Saturday, June 2, at 10:30 a.m. at Glenwood Cemetery in Glenwood.
Jane was born on April 3, 1929, in Sioux Center, to the late Dr. William and Gertrude (Dykstra) Doornink.
Following high school, she attended Northwestern College and was a graduate of the University of Iowa.
Jane met Paul Sulhoff at the university and were then united in marriage, and have been married for nearly 67 years.
Jane's memberships include Pi Beta Phi Sorority, PEO, Christian Women's Club and nearly a 60-year member of First Christian Church.
Survivors include her husband Paul of Council Bluffs; daughter Paula Ashford (Todd Lemen) of Omaha, Nebraska; sons Steven W. (Carolyn) Sulhoff of Bella Vista, Arkansas and Jim (Denise) Sulhoff of Avoca; four grandchildren, John (Allison) Ashford of Omaha, Eleanor Ashford of New York City, Steven J. Sulhoff of Cedar Rapids and and [sic] Andrew (Janelle) Sulhoff of Coralville; great grandchild Brooks A. Sulhoff.
In addition to her parents, Jane is preceded in death by her brother James Dennis Doornink.
