Mrs. Lambertus Snyders passed away at her home last Wednesday evening at the age of 71 years, after an illness of about five weeks during which time her brothers and sisters all came here to visit with her.

One daughter, Anne, made her home in Orange City with her mother, and a granddaughter Eleanor Snyders also has made her home here for the past four years.

Services were held in the Trinity Church Saturday afternoon with Reverend Van Zomeren officiating.

Relatives who came from away were Dr. and Mrs. McCarthy of Des Moines, Mr. and Mrs. John Lankelma and Mr. Fred Lankelma, Mrs. Geelhoud, also of Pella, sisters of the deceased; Mr. Ed Wheeler, Mr. and Mrs. Lou Wheeler of Sibley and Mr. Ed Snyders of Newton, Iowa.

Cornelia Lankelma was born at Pella on the 30th of January, 1857, was married to the late Mr. Lambertus Snyders on the 19th of June, 1884 and since that time she has lived at Orange City.

She leaves three sons, Henry of Alameda, California, Peter of Tacoma, Washington, and Edward of Newton, Iowa. Also two daughters, Miss Anna of Orange City and Miss Wilma of Cedar Rapids.

Besides her children, she leaves 10 grandchildren, four brothers and 6 sisters.
