The little 3 year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John M. "Jack" and Ruth (Houlton) Soeth was taken seriously ill with appendicitis Saturday morning and that afternoon was taken to the Hawarden Hospital where she was operated upon for appendicitis.

He condition was regarded as extremely critical all day Sunday and Monday and it was not until Tuesday morning that she became fully conscious and was able to recognize members of her family who watched over her.

While not yet out of danger there has been some improvement in her condition.

Rchael Soeth, 3 year old daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Soeth died Thursday evening January 18th, at the Hawarden Hospital following an operation for appendicitis.

Funeral services were held Monday afternoon at the Presbyterian Church. The little lady was laid to rest in the Pleasant Hill Cemetery.

The entire community extends their sympathy to Mr. and Mrs. Jack Soeth in the loss of their little daughter.
