A similar obituary was published in the Sioux Center News, January 8, 1970. It also says he was survived by five daughters, but actually lists six, adding Mrs. Hildred Vander Weide of Orange City. (See also the obituary of his wife, Mary Alice Donovan, posted separately.)

Research Note: For additional information on the Donovan family, see the obituary of his stepson, Arthur Earl Larson (posted separately.)
