Mr. Jon Spradling, age 63 of Alton, passed away on Sunday, February 17, 2019, at the Orange City Area Health System.

The family will be holding a celebration of life at a later date.

Oolman Funeral Home in Orange City is assisting the family.

Jon Kirk was born on April 18, 1955, in Anthony, Kansas, the son of James Wiley and Marilyn Maxine (Hunt) Spradling. He was raised in Orange City, where he graduated from the Maurice Orange City High School. He then earned his Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Iowa.

On December 26, 1982, he married Jennifer Anne Milne in Vermillion, South Dakota.

He is survived by his wife of more than 36 years; four siblings and their spouses, Kim and Carol Spradling, of Maryville, Missouri; James H. and Emily Spradling, of Panora; Jane and Lance Mouw, of Clinton, Missouri; and Jill Tenney, of Des Moines; as well as Stefny and Jasmine Von Cossman.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
