ALTON YOUTH KILLED IN ONE CAR ACCIDENT

David L. Schwebach, 18, rural Alton, was fatally injured about 8 P.M. June 1 when the 1956 Chevrolet car he was driving left a county road about three quarters of a mile south of Carnes and flipped end over end twice, coming to rest on its top.

The youth was enroute to Oyens from his home. The car was owned by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Ted Schwebach of Alton.

Funeral services were held Saturday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Alton and burial was made in the church cemetery.

David was born January 2, 1948, at Granville. He was a student and was living at home.

Besides his parents, he is survived by several brothers and sisters and two grandmothers, Mrs. Alvina Steichen of Alton and Mrs. Anna Schwebach of Hospers.
