Eleanore Schuver, 91, of Alton died Monday, October 26, in a hospital in Orange City. Services were at 10 A.M. Thursday, October 29, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Alton, Monsignor Nicholas J. Ruba officiating. Burial was in St. Joseph Cemetery at Granville.

Born Eleanore Oberbroeckling on October 15, 1896, in Luxemburg, she was raised and educated there. She married Joseph Schuver January 11, 1927, in Luxemburg. The couple farmed near Granville until April 1954 when they retired to Alton. He died April 7, 1959.

She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church, the Guild and Rosary Society of Alton, and Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary of Granville.

Survivors include two sons, Walter of Granville and Ruby of Renton, Washington; three daughters, Lorraine Konz of Mesa, Arizona, Agnes Wiederholt of Granville and Irene Gaul of Le Mars; a brother, Otto of Ryan; 29 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.
