Funeral services were held at the First Reformed Church in Orange City at 1:30 p.m. February 4, for Mrs. Frank Vander Zwaag, 79 of Orange City who died at the Orange City Hospital February 1 following a long illness.

Services were conducted by the Reverend R. Van Heukelom and burial was made in the Middleburg cemetery.

The former Nellie Ver Steeg was born at Hancock, Minnesota, February 21, 1891 and was married to Frank Vander Zwaag February 10, 1910. The couple farmed for many years in the Orange City area prior to retiring in 1945 and moving into Orange City. Mrs. Vander Zwaag died in 1958.

Survivors include three daughters: Mrs. Ben Roetman, Mrs. John Bomgaars of Orange City, Mrs. Burn. Plasier of Hull; five sisters: Mrs. Arie Bomgaars of Sheldon, Mrs. Henry Venhof, Mrs. Margaret Bolluyt of Edgerton, Minnesota, Mrs. Henry Bouma of Hancock, Minnesota, and Mrs. Julia Marquat of Lakota, North Dakota, three brothers: Theodore and Raymond of Hancock, Minnesota, Nick of Edgerton, Minnesota, nine grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
