We have been deeply grieved the past week, that death entered two our dear friends homes in the county, taking one young daughter of Teunis and Wilhelmina (Bierma) Schut, who would have been 21 years of age in a short time, her illness was a short duration, and came as a great shock to the family and many friend. She was so lovely, and kind, and such a great comfort to her parents that it leaves them heart broken.

Miss Margaret Schut has three brothers and Sisters: Fannie, Alice, Harriet, Sam, William and Gerald Schut.

A memorial service was held by the Christian Endeavor of the First Reformed Church on Sunday evening at the regular hour of meeting in memory of the late Miss Margaret Schut, who had been scheduled as leader of that particular meeting. Reverend Brunsting was in charge of the impressive service and the quartet which sang at the young lady’s funeral. Miss Jeanette Rons and Priscilla Schuiteman, Messrs. William Vermeer and John Wesseling, sang the same sons as on the occasion. The text assigned happened to be most appropriate and Reverend Brunsting spoke eloquently of Miss Schut’s fine Christian character.
