ROMBERG DIES SUDDENLY AT DEPOT

Roelof Romberg, 64 years old, died suddenly for a train to Hospers where he planned to visit his daughter, Mrs. John Hulst. Death came suddenly from heart failure while he was talking to friends and he sank down in a heap.

Mr. Romberg came to Sioux County in 1900 and was section foreman here for a number of years; a hard worker and a very efficient foreman. He was born in Hoogeveen, Netherlands, on September 7, 1855, coming to the United States in 1900 and a little later to Anton. In younger life he was a sailor and knew all there was to know about a battleship.

He was married to Roelofje Tenoever in Hoogeveen in the year 1887, May 21st, the daughter of Waander Tenoever. One child was born to them, Mrs. John Hulst of Hospers. He is also survived by his life partner and the following brothers and sisters; John Romberg, Alton; Henry Romberg, Hospers; Mrs. Henry Smith, Rock Rapids; Mrs. Dirk Hulst, Gilby, North Dakota; Mrs. Nick Hulst, Alton.
