Henry De Young Dies Henry De Young, 55, a former resident here, died Saturday at the Veteran's Hospital in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, following an illness of seven weeks' duration Henry was one of the volunteers in World War I. Funeral services were held at 2:00 p. m. Tuesday at the Mauer Funeral home at Le Mars, with Rev. H. H. Meyer officiating. Mr. De Young was born at Rock Valley March 30. 1896. He attend ed Public School in Rock Valley. He married Pearl Kewley at Le Mars on August 30, 1917, and they moved to Le Mars ~ in 1920, where they have continued to make their home. Survivors include his widow Pearl, six sons, Henry, Jr., LeRoy, Donald, Joseph, Vernon and Roger; all of Le Mars; three sisters: Mrs. Clara Frey of Chippewa Falls, Wisconsin; Mrs. Rose Stiffler of St. Paul, Minnesota; and Mrs. Dora Roberts of Le Mars; and a brother Arthur of Madison, South Dakota. His parents, two brothers and one sister preceded him in death and a brother and a sister died in the Netherlands.
