Relatives and friends from Le Mars, Alton and other places attended the funeral of Michael Roeder here, Wednesday.

The slow, solemn tolling of the church bell early Monday morning, announced that Michael Roeder, Jr., son of Michael and Catherine (Burg) Boeder, had breathed his last, after lingering between life and death with typhoid fever for nearly seven weeks. Mike was a young man about 22 years of age, of sterling qualities and had fairly begun a useful life with a bright future before him. He numbered his friends by his acquaintances and these all mourn his untimely departure. The remains were laid to rest in the Catholic Cemetery, Wednesday morning.
