LAST RITES HELD FOR MRS. JOSEPH RIPPERDA

Funeral services for Mrs. Joseph Ripperda,67, of Rock Valley were held Tuesday, October 12, 10:30 A.M. at St. Marcy’s Catholic Church with the Reverend Father Richard E. Zenk officiating.

Pallbearers were Bernard Kippley, Irvin Suhrptz, Hein H. Kosters, Matt Baatz, Stanley McKeegan and Walter McNamera. Burial was at St. Mary’s Cemetery under the direction of the Porter Funeral Home.

Mrs. Ripperda died Friday, October 8, in Hegg Memorial Hospital following a brief illness.

The former Gladys Marie Kramer was born on April 29, 1904 in Doon. She married Joseph Ripperda on December 18, 1928 at Alvord. She was the present grand regent of the Catholic Daughters of America.

Survivors include four sons, Francis of Turkey, George of Rock Valley, Lawrence of Worthington, Minnesota and Daniel of Sioux Falls, South Dakota; two daughters, Mrs. Don (Madonna) Plueger of Rock Valley and Mrs. Carl (Mary Ann) Selken of Larchwood; a sister, Mrs. Tom McCarty of Larchwood; two brothers, Vernon of Denver, Colorado and Clifford of Doon; 24 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
