Funeral services were held at the First Reformed Church in Orange City Tuesday for Peter Dykstra, 74, retired farmer, who died Saturday following a lingering illness.

Services were conducted by the Reverend Robert Bast and burial was made in West Lawn Cemetery at Orange City.

Mr. Dykstra was born at Orange City April 17, 1892, and resided all his life in that community.
He was married to Emma Rensink in 1918 at Newkirk. She passed away in 1918.

Survivors include a daughter, Mrs. Robert Vander Meide of Orange City; two sons, Lawrence of Maurice and Albert of Struble, two sisters, Mrs. Herman Vander Maaten and Mrs. John Buurman, both of Orange City; a brother John, of Orange City, and seven grandchildren.

Preceding him in death were his wife and one brother Elltje.

Mr. Dykstra was a veteran of World War I.
