Geneva Kramer, age 103, of Sioux Center, IA died Friday, November 2, 2018 at Sioux Center Health in Sioux Center.

Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, November 5, 2018 at Memorial Funeral Home of Sioux Center with Rev. Rog Voskuil officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery in Sioux Center.

Visitation will be from 11:30 a.m. to time of service Monday, November 5th at Memorial Funeral Home.

Geneva Gertrude Kramer was born October 10, 1915 to Ed and Ida (Borgman) Mulder near Hawarden, Iowa. She attended Country school through the eighth grade. She was proud to be recognized with a special certificate for spelling abilities.

On April 10, 1941, Geneva was joined in marriage to Jacob Kramer at her parents’ home near Ireton, Iowa. Geneva and Jake made their home on a farm near Ireton where she raised chickens and tended a large garden. In 1965, the couple moved into Ireton and in 1978 to Sioux Center, Iowa. Jake passed away on April 22, 1980. The couple were blessed with three children.

Geneva was an organist for over 40 years and taught piano lessons to many children. She liked to bowl and was proud to have bowled a perfect 300 game. She enjoyed traveling including various bus trips throughout the country and a special trip to Hawaii. She kept her hands busy with crocheting and quilting and liked spending evenings listening to the local sports teams on the radio. Geneva was a member of First Reformed Church of Sioux Center.

She is survived by a son, Gary and Linda Kramer Ft. Ogden, FL; two daughters: Irma and Marvin Boehme of Ireton, and Shirley and Joe Salemink of Eldridge, Iowa; 9 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; 9 great-great grandchildren and one sister, Ila Schiebout of Orange City, IA.

She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jake Kramer; 1 great-grandchild; and 8 siblings.
