Rites Held For Alvord Drowning Victim
Conrad Huyser. 19, of Alvord drowned Sunday afternoon at Palisades State Paik near Garretson S.D. Funeral services were held Wednesday, June 10, 1:30 p.m. in the First Reformed church of Rock Valley with the Rev Ralph Ten Clay officiating. Mrs. George Van Beek, organist, accompanied Mrs. Kenneth Kooima and Mrs. James Vander Sluis during their duet. Pallbearers were Harold van Voorst, Joel Kooima, Mike and Robert Huyser, Dennis and Arlln Gaalswyk, cousins, Burial was In Valley View Cemetery under the direction of Porter Funeral Home, Mr. Huyser was born May 25, 1951 to Mary Gaalswyk and Cornie Huyser at Hull. He worked at Roorda Manufacturing for one year and was presently working on his father's farm.
Survivors are his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Cornie Huyser of Alvord three brothers, Henry, Arie, and Alvin. all at home; four sisters, Mrs. Gary Riphagen and Mrs. Henry Wolfswinkel of Rock Valley, Mrs. John Van Den Brink of Sioux Center and Carolyn at home; maternal grandparents.
