Hyink, Tannetje born 7 May 1841 died 30 Jul 1917 wife of J. B. buried in Newkirk Cemetery Newkirk IA.

Monday died after having already some time, Mother Hyink, at her daughter's house, Mrs. Jansma where she was cared for with kindness. The service at home will took Thursday. 1.30 held and the Funeral services in the church, led by Ds. Haverkamp in the second church, at 2 hour. The mortal overshot will be buried in the cemetery in Newkirk.
Tannetje was born in Goes Zeeland, the Netherlands, and came to live with her parents at the age of 10. Where they settled in Franklin Prarie. She married John B. Hyink, and was a mother for his five children. She had eleven children of her own of which nine are still alive, N. L. Mrs. John Jansma. Mrs. Albert Balkema, at Orange City. B. Hyink, in Manhattan Mont. John Hyink and James Hyink at Hospers, Henry Hyink, at Slayton MN, Rev. Martin Hyink of Lemmon SD, Mrs. Dr. S. B. De Pree and Benjamin Hyink of Newkirk. Sixteen years ago, her husband died and went to his glory, and she found her home with her daughter, Mrs. S. B. De Pree. Then she came to her eldest daughter, who tended to her until the Lord took her. Her memory will keep her children in blessed remembrance. She was 78 years, 2 months and 23 days old.
