GEORGE RICKLEFS BURIED IN IRETON SATURDAY

Funeral services for George Ricklefs, 86, were held Saturday, May 17, at 2:00 P.M. at St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Ireton with Reverend Arthur Anacker officiating. Burial was in Pleasant Hill Cemetery at Ireton under the direction of Dow Funeral Home.

Mrs. Vernon Eilts was organist and singing was provided by St. Paul’s Church quartet. Casket bearers were Allan Ricklefs, Marlo Muth, Ronald Ricklefs, Harold Ritter, Homer Muth and Kenneth Muth.

Mr. Ricklefs died Thursday, May 15, at Maples Nursing Home where he had been a patient for five years.

He was born August 6, 1883, at Ireton. He married Flora Rosemore on May 2, 1912, at Alcester. They lived at Ireton for many years, moved out of the state during World War II and then later returned. Mrs. Ricklefs died in 1966 at Sioux Falls.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs. Thomas Muth of Sioux Falls and Mrs. Peter Runia of Sibley; three sons, Maynard of Bettendorf, Laurence of Evergreen, Colorado, and Lyle of Bloomington, Minnesota; 20 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren.
