Mrs. Jantje (Boog) Reit, Mother of William Reit, Laid to Rest Monday

Mr. and Mrs. William Reit and family mourn the passing of there mother and grandmother, Mrs. Herman Reit of Rock Valley, who passed away last Thursday at the home of her daughter, Mrs. S. Terpstra, in Perkins.

Funeral services were held at Rock Valley Monday, May 17th.

Mrs. Herman Reit, age 81 years, 7 months and 16 days, passed away on Thursday morning, May 13th, the cause of her death being cancer, from which she had suffered much the past two months.

Mrs. Reit, with her husband, came to this country from Holland 56 years ago and lived in the vicinity of Rock Valley practically all the time since. The couple had teen married over 68 years.

She is survived by her husband (who is 84 years old), six sons and one daughter. One son preceded her in death in 1935.

Also surviving are 26 grandchildren and 32 great- grandchildren.

The sincere sympathy of a host of friends is extended to the Reits in their bereavement.
