Helen Emma Formhold (Mrs. William Nendel) was born on September 25, 1822 in Chemnitz, Saxony Germany, to Johann Gottlieb Fromhold and Maria Christiana Dietzmann. She married Ludwig Wilhelm Nendel on Jul 26, 1846 in her birth town, She died Jan 31, 1879 in Sherman Township, Sioux county IA and is buried in St. John’s Lutheran Cemetery at Ireton IA.
