Mouw, Jan born 13 Oct 1813 died 27 Nov 1882 buried in West Lawn Cemetery Orange City IA.

Tuesday Wm. Muilenberg brought the sad tidings to town of the death of John Mouw Sr. Deceased died of heart disease.

Checked the de Volksvriend for the date of death and couldn’t readily find any death notice.

Note; from a report on ancestry.com (by others) Jan ‘John’ Mouw born 8 Oct 1813 in Elspeet Gelderland Neth. To Hendricus and Hednrikien Mouw, married Aartje Jans Willemsen on Jun 26 1834. They had 11 children. He died on Nov 27, 1882 at Orange City IA. Some of his children Hendrika 1835, Jan 1838, Eva 1839, Heintje 1842, Johanna 1844, Johannes 1849, Henry 1851, Engelbartus 1853, Engelbertus 1854, Mans 1858.
