ALICE PATRICK DIES AT AGE 86

Funeral services for Miss Alice Patrick, 86, who died last Thursday at her home here were held at 1 o’clock Monday afternoon at the Barnard Funeral Home and at 2 o’clock at the Associated Church, Reverend John C. Thorns officiating.

The soloist, Hal Shoemaker, sang “Beyond the Sunset” and “The Lord’s Prayer” with Mrs. Shoemaker at the organ.

Pallbearers were John McCabe, Roy Searle, L.R. Carsten. L.L. Abbey, Andrew Hoogland and R.C. Robertson. Burial was in Grace Hill Cemetery.

Miss Patrick was born November 25, 1869, in Dubuque County and in 1885 came to Plymouth County with her parents. In 1901 she moved to Hawarden. She was a charter member of the Busy Bees, belonged to the Rebekah Lodge, the Associated Church and Ladies Aid of that congregation.
