Mrs. Steve Faber received word Sunday morning that her mother, Mrs. Effie Pals of Orange City had died at the age of 59 years.

Effie Van Reulder was married to Cornelius Pals, Sr. on January 13, 1897 in Orange City Iowa at the Reformed Dutch Church.

They had 11 children together.

Effie's husband Cornelius C. Pals, Sr. at 19 years old sailed from Antwerp, Belgium on the ship named "Noordland" arriving in New York on February 23, 1889 his destination was Alton, Iowa. He got a job working on a farm where he met Effie, Yes he married the farmers daughter.

He arrived one year before Alton Well and Concrete was started a company that one day his son Cornelius Pals, Jr would own.

She had visited in Hull the past week.
