Mrs. Alf. Morgan, 75, a resident of this vicinity for 66 years, passed away at the 'Hawarden hospital last Thursday following a prolonged illness of about (five years. During this time her husband cared for her until the last week of her life, when she became critically ill and was removed to the hospital.

Funeral services were held at the Methodist church at 2:30 Monday afternoon, with Rev. W. V. Bell being in charge. Interment was in Grace Hill cemetery.

Emma Viola Dale, youngest daughter of James Dale and Mary Hills Dale, was born October 8, 1870, near Dow City, Iowa. Here she resided during her childhood and early womanhood until 1889, when she came to Sioux county. She resided almost' continuously in this vicinity for the last 66 years. After attending- Iowa State Teachers college at Cedar Falls, she taught school in the rural schools in Sioux county and in the Ireton public schools. She was married to Alf. Morgan in and together they raised in this community four of their five children, one child, Merrill, dying in infancy. One son, Lynn, passed away in New Orleans, La., on July 2, 1936.

She Is survived by her husband; two sons, Lloyd of Hawarden, and Warren of Brockport, N. Y.; one daughter, Mrs. Lowell Larson of Hawarden, seven grandchildren and one great grandchild.

Out of town relatives who came for the funeral were Warren Morgan of Brockport, N. Y.; Mrs. Cora Ward of Chicago; Mr. and Mrs. Harold Morris and Mrs. Max Disbrow of Des Moines and Mrs. Lawrence Morgan and Bill and Mildred of Wakonda, S. D.
