Hold Last Rites For Mrs. Oosten

Funeral services were held Tuesday for Mrs. Ike Oosten, 74, at the home and at the First Reformed Church, with Reverend H. Colenbrander of Orange City officiating.

Mrs. Oosten died on Sunday, following a sudden attack of pneumonia. She had been in poor health for some time. Interment was made in the Valley View Cemetery.

Mrs. Oosten was born in the Netherlands on May 11, 1873 and was married to Ike Oosten in that country.

The Oostens came to the United, States in the early part of this century and moved to Rock Valley some 25 years ago. Mrs. Oosten was a member of the First Reformed Church here.

Survivors include the widower, Ike Oosten, one son, Henry of Leeds, Iowa, three grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers included the following: James Van Burkum, Wiliiam Schouten, John Oldenkamp, Evert Blankespoor, Gerrit Kersbergen and Dick Verdoorn.
