Relatives and friends of Mr. Gerrit Oostenburg, who died Friday, attended funeral services on Tuesday at Primghar, with interment at Hull. The Oostenburg family were former Hull residents. Gerrit married Jennie Kooiker on February 12, 1914. After their marriage , Mr. and Mrs. Oostenburg lived in both Sioux and O’Brien Counties. His wife, Jennie Kooiker preceded him in death several years ago. She was a sister to Lammert and L.R. Kooiker.

He leaves to mourn his departure ten children, namely: Alice (Mrs. William Weanders) of Sioux City, Bernice (Mrs. Clifford Ruby) of Sheldon, Verne, Willis, Ann, Margaret, Lloyd, Glen, Edith, and Keith.

Mr. and Mrs. L.R. Kooiker left Thursday for Sheboygan, Wisconsin, to visit at the home of Reverend and Mrs. Henry Ver Meer. Mr. Kooiker arrived by train in Sioux City Monday evening and on Tuesday attended the funeral services of his brother-in-law, Gerrit Oostenburg.
