Funeral services were held Tuesday afternoon at the Orange City First Reformed church for John Oolman of Orange City, who passed away Saturday afternoon following a heart attack.
The Reverend R. Van Heukelom and Reverend R. Bast officiated. Burial was in the Orange City Cemetery under the direction of the Van Etten Funeral Home.
Mr. Oolman was born to Herman John and Sjoukje (Wassenaar) Oolman of Orange City on June 20, 1894 and was a raised in the vicinity.
He was married to Margaret Muilenburg on March 22, 1923. He was a veteran of World War I.
Survivors are the widow, three sons, Orville and Glenn of Orange City and Stanley of Paullina, 10 grandchildren and two brothers, Jake and Herman of Orange City.
A sister, Mrs. John Jonker (Alice) and infant brother passed away many years ago.
