Mrs. Herman J. Oolman, Sjoukje Wassenaar, was born April 3, 1867, at Vriesland the Netherlands and passed away at her home Wednesday, August 25 at 5:15 p.m. at the age of 76 years and a few months.

In 1869 she came to the United States and in 1889 she was married to Mr. Herman J. Oolman of Orange City.

Five children were born to this union, of which two preceded her in death, namely: Alice, Mrs. John Jonker and one in infancy.

Survivors are her husband, three sons, Jake, John and Herman; one son-in-law, Mr. John Jonker, all of Orange City and 16 grandchildren and one great- grandchild.

Also surviving are her sister, Mrs. G. Klay and a sister-in-law, Mrs. N. Wassenaar besides many other relatives and friends.

Funeral was held Saturday at 1:00 p.m. at their home in Orange City and at 1:30 p.m.in the First Reformed Church of which she was a member with Reverend H. Colenbrander and Reverend F. B. Mansen officiating. Burial was made in the local cemetery.
