Mrs. Edward Oolbekkink, nee Nancy Koerselman of Newkirk, passed away at 3:40 o'clock, Friday, August 22nd, at the Grossman Hospital in Orange City, at the age of 60 years.

Funeral services were held at the Newkirk Reformed Church Wednesday, August 27th, with the Reverend Brass and the Reverend Roetman officiating. Burial was in the Newkirk Cemetery.

Nancy Koerselman was born in the Netherlands, October 1, 1888, and came to America at the age of two and a half years, with her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Gerrit Koerselman. They lived near Alton ten years, then lived near Boyden. She was married to Edward Oolbekkink on February 11, 1909. To this union was born eight children, two of whom preceded her in death, Johan and Bernice.

Surviving are the widower and the following children: (Geraldine) Mrs. Sylvan Fonkert of Lake Benton, Minnesota; (Ruth) Mrs. William De Jong, John Oolbekkink, (Edna) Mrs. Roy Brikman, (Geneva) Mrs. Henry Cramer, all of Sheldon.

Besides her husband and children she leaves to mourn, five brothers: Henry Koerselman of Hull, Ben of Boyden, Gerrit of Sioux Center, John of George, and Dick of Boyden: also three sisters: Mrs. William Van Bruggon of Sheldon, Mrs. John Doktor of Boyden and Mrs. Henry Gunnink of Edgerton, Minnesota, and seven grandchildren.

Preceding her in death were her parents, Mr. and Mrs. Gerrit Koerselman; one sisters, Mrs. Henry Sneller, and one brother, Dick.

Mrs. Oolbekkink was operation upon in May, when it was found that she was suffering from an incurable disease. She had not been well since that time.
