Peter Moran passed away at his home just south of town Tuesday morning at 9 o’clock. He was born in New Castle PA and was 53 years old at the time of his death. He came to Plymouth county over 28 years ago and in the early days taught school. He finally bought land and has been a successful farmer to the time of his demise. Mr. Moran was back and forth to his Pennsylvania home and the mountains of the west several times. But because of his disease consumption could find on relief anywhere so returned to his family here last fall and had not been out of the house since but said he came home to die.

Peter Moran was a man of strong convictions, earnest, honest, kindly and thrifty and a man who always made good his word. He was an earnest member of the Catholic church and the new church will be built on his land.

Beside his wife he leaves to mourn two sons Robert and John and two daughters Miss Jennie and Mrs. William Nicholson all, who were at this bedside in his last days.

The funeral took place Thursday at 9 o’clock form the house and the remains were followed by a large number of friends to the church in Maurice Rev. Father Grady preached an eloquent sermon speaking most consoling words to the bereaved ones. This family have the sympathy of the community In their hour of grief.
