Mrs. Hendrik J. Nyenhuis died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Gerrit Vrieze Thursday evening, March 22, after a lingering illness due to cancer of which disease she had been a sufferer for several months.

Several weeks ago she was operated on at the Le Mars Hospital but was given no relief and she returned home and has not left her bed since that time.

Deceased was a native of The Netherlands and came here in 1912 with her husband and four children all of whom survive her, and lived in this city and later on a farm north of town.

Mrs. Lamer Diena Nyenhuis was a good wife and mother and was greatly beloved in her circle of friends who now grieve with her loved ones in the death of one they had loved so well. Deceased was 49 years and 11 months of age when she died.

The children, besides the husband, who mourn her loss are Mrs. Gerrit Vrieze, Mrs. John Lagendyke, Bert, and John at home. Funeral services will be held from the home of Gerrit Vrieze at 1 o’clock and from the Dutch Reformed Church at 2 o’clock Saturday afternoon.
