Mr. Henry Oberman passed away in the Sacred Heart Hospital in Le Mars on Friday afternoon, November 18 at 2:10 o’clock following an operation. Mr. Oberman was born in New Vienna, Iowa, November 24, 1857 and at the time of his death was 74 years old.

In 1884 Mr. Oberman came to Granville and moved on a farm near here, where he resided until his death. His father, Henry Oberman passed away in 1900 and his mother, Maria (Koelker) Oberman in 1910.

He is survived by three sisters and two brothers: Mrs. Clem Schemmel of Minnesota, Mrs. Theodore Reicher of Dyersville, Mrs. Theodore Schlichte of New Vienna, Peter Oberman of Dyersville and Frank Oberman of New Vienna.

Deceased was a member of St. Joseph Church here, where the funeral services were held with Reverend Geriemann officiating. Interment took place in St. Joseph’s Cemetery here.
