Funeral services for Mr. Evert Mouw, 90, were held Wednesday, May 21 at 10:00 a.m. at the Second Christian Reformed Church with the Reverend Jay De Vries officiating. Burial was made at Westlawn Cemetery under the direction of the Van Etten Funeral Home.

Pallbearers were Elmer Duistermars, Dick Duistermars, Wilbur De Jong, William Reekers, Gerrit Mouw and Orville De Jong.

Mr. Mouw passed away Sunday at the Nursing Wing at Sioux Center.

Mr. Evert Mouw was born November 26, 1878 near Fox Lake, Wisconsin. He married Mattie Korver on September 6, 1905. From 1923 to 1929 they made their home at Grundy Center, Iowa, then moved to Orange City where Mrs. Mouw passed away in April of 1962. In 1965 Mr. Mouw took up residency at the Pioneer Home in Orange City, living there until he took ill and then was moved to the Nursing Wing in Sioux Center in 1966. He resided there until the time of his death.

Surviving are: one son, Reverend Gerrit Mouw of Monroe, Wisconsin; two grandsons, John of Iron Mountain, Michigan, and Edward of Rhinelander, Wiscconsin; and two sisters, Mrs. Mary De Jong of Orange City and Mrs. Dick Kreykes of Sioux Center.
