Mrs. Kenneth Mouw Funeral Held At Alton Friday

Funeral services for Mrs. Kenneth Mouw, 37, of Alton were held Friday, July 23 at the Alton Reformed Church. Mrs. Mouw died Tuesday, July 20 at the Le Mars Sacred Heart Hospital after a brief illness. Reverend Robert Bas of Orange City officiated at the services. Burial was in the Orange City Cemetery.

Mrs. Mouw, the former Betty Vande Brake, was born August 14, 1927 at Orange City. She was married to Kenneth Mouw August 1, 1951.

Survivors include her husband Kenneth; three sons, Randy at Glenwood, Iowa; Douglas and David, and one daughter Debra, all at home; her mother, Mrs. Bessie Vande Brake of Orange City; three sisters, Mrs. Randall (Florence) Gunderson, Ponea, Nebraska; Mrs. Delano (Maria) Horstman, Sioux City, Iowa; Mrs. Louis N. (Josephine) Wielenga, Orange City; three brothers, Wilbur and Marion of Orange City; David of Sacramento, California. She was preceded in death by an infant son who died shortly after birth.

Mrs. Mouw was a member of the local Reformed Church and Rebecca Circle.
