Johnson, William born 1837 died 17 Mar 1882 age 45 buried in Greenwood cemetery Matlock IA. There is a headstone lists Wm. Johnson died Mar 17, 1832 aged 45 years in the Matlock cemetery. No obituary was posted in local Sioux County papers.

Note: A question has arisen as to where he was buried. From Find a Grave, there was a William Johnson born 1837 died 17 Mar 1882 buried in East Lawn Cemetery Sheldon IA wife Margaret Johnson son Joseph Johnson. Also on ancestry.com as report states the William Johnson born March 17, 1837 in Ireland married Margaret Sturgeon in 1878 and died March 17, 1882 at Sheldon at Sheldon IA and was buried there.
