Hugo Moret Dies, Funeral at Boyden

Hugo Moret, well known Boyden retired farmer died Wednesday morning, March 20 at the Sheldon hospital after an illness of eight days. Mr. Moret was 80 years and 7 months of age.

He was born at Orange City, son of William and Henrietta (Luymes) Moret, August 16, 1882, and attended a rural school in that vicinity.

February 12, 1913 he was married at Sanborn to Cornelia Van Der Aarde, who preceded her husband in death.

Surviving are two daughters and four sons: Margaret, Andrew, Geneva (Mrs. George Haspels) all of Boyden; Bill H. of Washta, Harold of Artesia, California, and Alvin of Poughkeepsie, New York; 12 grandchildren; one sister, Mrs. Jake Nieuwendorp of Sheldon.

Funeral services were held March 23 at the Reformed Church in Boyden, Reverend Henry Schoon officiating. Hymns were sung by Larry and Norman Moret. Interment was in the Boyden Cemetery. Pallbearers were John Haspels, Fred Riemers, Cornie Brunsting, Larry Salmon, Bill Humme, John Scholten, all of Boyden.
