Wm. Jewet died Wednesday after a very brief illness with blood poisoning. He had been around as usual until Saturday afternoon when he consulted a physician but the disease had a that time made such a headway that there was practically no chance for his recovery. Everything was done that could possibly be to save him but without avail.

The funeral was held Thursday and the remains laid to rest in the Sheridan cemetery. He had resided in these parts for many years and has a large circle of friends and acquaintances who sincerely regret his demise. He was a man that was absolutely square and when he gave a promise you could depend upon it. We understand that he has two sisters living and that a brother died a few months ago.

Note: From tidbits in the Boyden papers, he was a resident of Sheldon most of the time.
