Mrs. Henry Moos (Lucille), 86, of Granville, died Wednesday, May 6, 1992 at Happy Siesta Retirement Home in Remsen after a lengthy illness.

Services were held on Saturday at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Granville. The Reverend Clem Currans officiated. Burial was in the parish cemetery under the direction of the Fisch Funeral Home of Remsen.

Mrs. Moos was born September 24, 1905, in Wethersfield, Illinois, the daughter of Samuel and Mary (Wilson) McSpadden. She moved as a child with her parents to Sioux City, Iowa, where she was raised and educated.

On May 19, 1925, she married Arthur Trowl in Elk Point, South Dakota. The couple made their home in Detroit, Michigan. Lucille and Arthur had one son, Kenneth. Arthur died in 1930. At that time, Lucille moved to Granville.

On May 2, 1932, Lucille married Henry Moos in Sioux City. They made their home in Granville. Lucille and Henry had four children: Marvin, Daniel, Michael and Lynn. Mrs. Moos entered the retirement home on June 24, 1983 and Mr. Moos entered February 20, 1984. Henry died October 19, 1985.

Mrs. Moos was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and the Church Guild, Christian Mothers, Ladies Catholic Order of Foresters and Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary.

Survivors include four sons: Marvin Moos and wife, Mary Lou of Granville, Daniel Moos of South Sioux City, Michael Moos and wife, Becky of Sioux City, Kenneth Moos of Denver, Colorado and daughter, Lynn McLarty and husband, Robert of Moville,
12 grandchildren, 6 step-grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, 11 step great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandchild.

She was preceded in death by a daughter, Betty Jean Trowl in infancy; a grandson, Keith Moos; and a sister, Iva Hartman.
