Gertrude Langan, age 60, passed away at her home here Thursday morning at 4 o'clock. She was a patient the Sacred Heart hospital for about two weeks and returned home at Easter time.

Miss Langan, was born Mary 1881 on a farm near Boyden where she grew to womanhood and then to Rock Valley where she spent remainder of her life.

She is survived by four sisters, Mrs. Mary Murphy, Rock-Valley, Mrs. Thomas Gunther, Clara City, Minnesota, Mrs. Delia Donahoe, Sheldon, Mrs. Joseph Barry of Rock Valley, also a brother, Joseph Langan, Aurora, South Dakota, and one brother Ed Hevern of Rock Valley.

Funeral services were held in St. Mary's Church at 9 o'clock Saturday morning. Pall bearers were Joe Hevern, James Hevern. Gerald Hevern, Leo Murphy, John Gunther and A. Doherty from Sheldon. Interment was in St. Mary's Cemetery.
