Funeral services were held at the First Christian Reformed Church here at 10:30 A.M. Monday, September6, for Mrs. Peter Moerman, Sr., 79, of Sioux Center, who died at her home here Friday following a brief illness.

Services were conducted by the Reverend Dr. P.Y. DeJong and burial was in the Sioux Center Community Cemetery under the direction of the Co-operative Funeral Home.

The former Tryntje Schelling was born in the Netherlands November 15, 1891, and came to the U.S. as a young woman of 21. She was married to Peter Moerman at Rock Valley July 26, 1912, and had made her home in Sioux Center since that time. Mr. Moerman passed away in 1964.

Survivors include five sons - Cornelius, William, and Paul of Sioux Center, Iowa, Adrian of Lehigh Acres, Florida, Peter, Jr., of Tucson, Arizona four daughters - Mrs. William (Magdalena) Rensink of Sioux Center, Iowa, Mrs. Lane (Henrietta) Attema of Sioux City, Iowa, Mrs. Jack (Nellie) Rodibaugh and Mrs. Elmer (Dena) Cuperus, both of Jenison, Michigan; 38 grandchildren and 34 great-grandchildren.
