Died: November 18, 1989Katie Moeller, 100, of La Habra, California, formerly of Sioux Center, died Saturday, November 18, in La Habra.
Services will be at Central Reformed Church in Sioux Center Tuesday, November 28, at 10:30 A.M.
The former Katie Houwers was born November 20, 1888, in Alton. She married Martin T. Moeller February 5, 1913, at Sheboygan Falls, Wisconsin. They farmed in Plato Township, moving to Sioux Center in 1934. He died in 1981. She had resided in California with her daughters Ruth and Margaret since 1982.
She was active in community organizations and Central Reformed Church.
Survivors include three daughters, Ruth Vander Ploeg of Carlsbad, California and Margaret Maris and Lois De Ruyter, both of La Habra; 14 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and 13 great-great-grandchildren.
