Koehler, Margaretha born 9 Dec 1860 died 30 May 1918 husband Valentine buried in St. Joseph’s cemetery Granville IA.

Mrs. Valentine Koehler passed to the Great Beyond May 27 after lingering illness of four years. Mary Auchstetter was born 1860 at Sublett IL., and was married in 1884 to Val Koehler. The same year they moved to Granville and located north of town, where they lived until eight years ago when they move to town. Two children besides the husband are left to mourn her loss. They are Mrs. Joe Schnur and Joe Koehler, one daughter Mrs. T. Gereat, having preceded her in death about a month ago.

Funeral services were held from St. Joseph’s church Saturday morning. Rev. Wendel of Sutherland officiating. The Mother’s Society, of which the deceased was a member, attended in a body. Mr. and Mrs. Jos Konradie of Odebolt IA, a sister and George Koehler of Sublett IL, were relatives who attended the funeral. She also leaves four sisters and a brother in Kansas, besides a host of friends to mourn her loss.

Margaretha ‘Maggie’ Auchstetter was born 9 Dec 1860 Sublette Lee Co. ILL. Died 30 May 1918 Granville IA. She was the daughter of John ‘Peter’ Auchstetter 1824-1894 and Katharina Schmel 1828-1905. They had children – Joseph 1885-1972, B. Koehler 1888-1910, Katherine ‘Kate’ 1888-1918 and Clara 1892-1980.
