Mrs. Hentje (Koenders) Lyftogt, who has been sick for some time, died Thursday night at the age of 82. Hentje “Hettie” Lyftogt is survived by four sons and two daughters and a number of grandchildren who mourn the departure of mother and grandmother. Hentje married Gerrit Lyftogt on December 11, 1878 in Zutphe, Gelderland, Netherlands. Mr. Gerrit Lyftogt died June 29, 1920.

This community extends the hand of sympathy to the bereaved.

Funeral services were held Saturday afternoon at the First Reformed Church of which the deceased was a devoted member. Interment was made at the Hospers Cemetery, Hospers, Iowa, west of town.
