Hartsuiker/ Hartzwiker/Hartsinker, Claus/Klaas died 8 Mar 1917 buried in Hope Cemetery Hull IA. WPA record, no headstone.

Mr. Hartsuiker father of Ralph and Mrs. Otto Bouma died suddenly at the home of his daughter on Tuesday March 6th. He was about 75 years of age and had been in apparent good health up to a few minutes before his death. He was stricken with apoplexy and died before a physician could be summoned. Funeral services were held Thursday in the Christian Reformed church and burial was made in Hope Cemetery.

Note: Found marriage of Klaas Hartsuiker a baker, born at Steenwijk age 37 married to Aaltje Kuiper born at Diever age 29, married 30 May 1879 at Diever, Drents, Netherlands.

Iowa death records has Klaas Hartsinker widowed, retired baker age 76 born Holland died 6 Mar 1917 Sheridan Tsp Boyden IA buried at Hull Iowa, parents K. T. Hartsinker and Jacoba Van Velzen.

In the 1925 Iowa census for Sheridan Tsp Sioux County – K. Hartsinker and Alice Kuyper were the parents of Ralph Hartsuiker born abt 1882=1884 in Holland, residents of Sheridan Tsp Sioux County. Ralph’s wife was Lutjen ‘Lucie’ Kooij - with children Clarence, Chas, Alice, Gertrude, Dody, James, Lucie. Also living with them was Lucie’s mother Gertrude Middeke Mrs. K. Kroy (Kooij). Ralph’s family came Sep 1910 from Holland.
