From the Rock Valley Bee, March 2, 1928:

DEATH OF FORMER RESIDENT

The following article from the Morris (Minn.) Tribune is an account of the death of Mrs. William Baysinger, a former resident of this vicinity.

“After an illness extending over several months that culminated in an operation at the Graceville hospital in an effort to prolong her life, Mrs. William Baysinger passed away at the hospital at Graceville Wednesday morning, February 22.

Elizabeth Wood was born in Black Hawk county, Iowa, on September 8, 1868. She was married on September 9, 1888 to William Baysinger. They continued living in Iowa until 1914, when they moved to Stevens county and engaged in farming here for several years. They moved into Morris in 1926.

Mrs. Baysinger is survived by her husband and by four daughters, Mrs. Charles Hillmer, of Epping, N. Dak., Mrs. John Jorgeson, of Morris; Miss Mildred Baysinger, of Hot Springs, S. Dak.; and Miss Stella Baysinger, who is teaching at Aneta, N.D.; and a son, Elmer Baysinger, of Morris. Three brothers and two sisters also survive.

Funeral services were conducted at 2 o’clock Saturday afternoon from the Methodist Episcopal church with Rev. Wokman officiating. Interment was made in Summit cemetery.

A large circle of friends and acquaintances also mourn the death of Mrs. Baysinger. She always interested herself in the success and happiness of her neighbors and friends, and won their deepest respect and esteem.”
