Mrs. Frank Holtkamp, 81, Hawarden, died March 28 in a Hawarden hospital after a lengthy illness Services were at 1:30 p.m. March 31 at Trinity Lutheran Church, Hawarden, with the Rev. Dwight Rengstorf officiating. Burial was in Grace Hill Cemetery, Hawarden with the Dow Funeral Home in charge.

Mrs. Holtkamp, the former Amilie Wendel, was born July 7,1894, in Germany. She came to the United States in 1910 and setted in the Hawarden area. She was married Dec 25 1918 in Sioux City. They farmed in the Hawarden area until moving into town in 1952. He died Oct. 30,1948. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church Survivors include three sons, Walter of Alcester S D Wendell of Sioux City and Herman of Hawarden; three daughters, Miss Louise Holtkamp of Hawarden, Mrs. Gus (Dorothy) Heiman and Mrs. Burdette (Margaret) Heiman both of Alcester, S.D.; two sisters, Mrs. Dora Buettner of Anthon and Mrs. Freida Hoonhorst of Hudsonville Mich. 13 grandchildren; and four great-grandchilren She was preceded in death by three brothers, Nick John and Jake Wendel.
