The funeral for Ralph G. Lubbers, 82, retired Sheldon hardware merchant, was held at the Temple Mortuary with Reverend Thomas Lutman of the Congregational Church presiding.

Mr. Lubbers was born near Grand Rapids, Michigan, on February 5, 1860, and died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Frank Wilsey, after an illness of 19 months. In May, he was married to Wilhelmenia Wolcott, who passed away at Boyden, Iowa, in 1909. Mr. Lubbers lived in Michigan for five years, then moved to Kansas where he lived for six years. He lived in Boyden until 1913 when he moved to Sheldon, being in the hardware business, both in Boyden and Sheldon when he retired in 1934. Mr. Lubbers was a member of the First Congregational Church.

Surviving are Mrs. Wilsey, a son, Roy of Battle Creek, Michigan, five grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.
